I personally think a sequel to Gears of War would be amazing and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about it and what should be in it and not.

I did read an interview with Cliffy B. in the most recent issue of EGM, and he said they are definatley gonna make a second one. The ending of the campaign opens up the game for a sequel. Now here comes the criticism about the game.
I really did like the campaign becuase of the fun i had with the difficulty. When me and my friend played it online in campaign, we had a blast; especially on the insane difficulty. I like the challenge of the AI, and the feeling of accomplishment after beating General Raam on insane. The only complaint i had was the story line. It just seemed like the makers had been so focused on appearence and fun little things like the chainsaw, that they forgot to make a compelling story to go with the beautiful game. So in the next game, the makers need to focus alot more energy on campaign.
Now multiplayer also has alot more kinks it needs to work out. I have to say, the game was freakin sweet the first week i played it on multiplayer, but after those 7 days of awsemo, i grew very bored. Its the stupid repetition of the game. Chainsaw here, curbstomp there, thats pretty much they online play. If only GOW offered more diversity such as Halo 2. So for the next game, focus and not as much repetition.

Yeah I agree with what icewolfen said. I also read that interview in EGM and they also did another one in Game Informer. They definatly should make a sequel and the end of the game really hints at that.

However the story line never went anywhere. Shoot in' things was all there really was and there never really was a good story. Now for the sequel they have more work to do. Since they killed off most of the locust at the end how are they going to rebuild? Will they be able to do it in a not cheasy and believable way? Only time will tell. Otherwise I think they did a pretty good job with the first game. Graphics, Gameplay, and challenging....but not too challenging achievments.

should....not.....be......made.......... :-X..............the first one sucked balls at everything except campaign, and co-op, so basically the adversarial...sucked plain and simple lol...too bad its a tirlogy =/

yeah i agree with golden should not be made. the first one was ok but not all that great. a second one would just make the whole thing gay.

i honestly hope active reload ends. i really didn't like the idea of unskilled snipers downing me continously.

Active reload is still gay. But i hope that online should have matchmaking instead of host a room and wait for people to join. I hope that gears of war 2, will have bigger teams. maybe 6 on 6 or 8 on 8. annex was a good idea. now could there be more objective type games. Have ranks in gears of war 2. too seperate noobs from vets.
